I doubt no one's going to blog about Xtreme Race, so I'll post every single detail that I can remember. I hope my short term memory is not that short. =/
Okay so! Went for lunch @ AMK Hub at 11. Then after that went to the Mrt Station to meet our friends. The people there and then were Freda, Chuting, Regina, LaiYing, Titus (&his 2 friends), KwokFeng, Edmund, Guiming and myself. So then we were waiting for Weisiang. We called his house but his siblings said he left alrdy. Then the other cell group went off by bus first, while our cell group continued waiting for him. When it was about 12.20 only Chuting and I were left waiting for Weisiang.
Sidetrack abit, the other time I invited him to go to church, he reached the bus stop early, he didn't see me, then he went home. (!!!) So now we were afraid the same thing might happen again. But, Chuting suggested we wait until 12.45, and he came! (He wokeup late la =/) Saw Joshua and his 3 friends there also. Haha, so all of us went to Pasir Ris by Mrt.
So all of us were there, then we took a bus to Pasir Ris Park. Reached there and met Candy's friends. Then we headed towards our BBQ Pit. Super far can! But alot shorter when we were going to kayak at East Coast la. Haha. Okay so finally reached, and everyone were resting and chatting. Then Regina called XueYan, I called WeiXiao. In the end both of them came! So we walked back to the bus stop to fetch them.
Start of Games Played an ice breaker game called "husband and wife". I guess we started pretty well there (: Yeap, then we were given the first clue and off we go for Xtreme Race!
My team leader was GuiMing, and team members are LaiYing, Weisiang, WeiXiao and myself.Haha, the whole process was fun la. I don't think I will write the details 'cos it'll be in bits and pieces. Heheh. But anyway, we were the only group which ran! The other groups were mostly strolling their way. I think we ran close to 5km. Back and forth for countless of times. Haha. Thanks to our leader though, he sprinted all the way to the check point while the rest went at our own pace.There were a total of 8 check points, so you know how much we walked/ran. Okay skip this part, I can't remember.
Then there was this time where we went to the wrong place. Supposed to go to Maze Garden, but we went to the playground! Haha! 'Cos there was this small maze for the kids. LOL. Okay, then we called Karen who was at that obstacle checkpoint, and finally we realised we got the wrong place. Then we went ALL THE WAY to the other end of the Park. The maze is super small la.
(Sidetrack) I still remember that time when my family and relatives went to Bali (I think). Then there was this huge maze, my sister and cousin both went inside. I didn't 'cos I was still small and scared (I think). Haha, then from the room above I could hear my sister calling for help. I miss going overseas with my cousins!
Okay back, that was our last checkpoint. But we heard that one team finished alrdy. So we slowly stroll back la, supposed to find Peter Koh. Then we had to find Candy again. Then we walked back to the BBQ Pit.
Yeap yeap. I got a blister! 'Cos of the slippers =/ Then cooked the food. Fun! Haha. Skip skip.
Okay then had to go home, but before that, the "prize" presentation. Edmund's team won, followed by GuiMing's, Titus', Chuting's and Freda's.When asked which team you think won the race, almost everyone had their hand raised. Yeap, mine too. Because usually this kind of games, whether or not you win doesn't matter. The most important thing is the process, the teamwork and all that. So yeah, EVERYONE'S A WINNER! :D
Had great fellowship, and got this feedback from LaiYing that even though she don't really talk to our church people, she bonded more within our class, meaning me and WeiXiao. :D :D
Oh oh! I had this dream that Harvest Life Church was overflowing with people until there were not enough sits for everyone! :D :D :D Pray that it is not just a dream but a dream COME TRUE!! (:
